Small Space Inspiration

My husband loves condo living! He doesn't ever want to have to deal with the responsibility of maintaining a yard, or having to shovel or even sweep the snow off the vehicle. I guess since he grew up in Hong Kong he never felt the need to have a house or anything... unlike me... little farm girl over here... We currently live in a 90's condo, 2 bed 2 bath, about 1100 square feet. It looks out onto orchards. Its alright except that we aren't supposed to have our cat here and I'm tired of hiding him and making him be quiet all the time. He's such a prisoner. This weekend we are looking at a few new condos, I hope it works out because i want to move!

Tailored Romance, This room was decorated on a small budget. I made the headboard and painted the lamps, shades, chandelier, picture frames and dresser hardware. I made the artwork over the bed, and painted/recovered the side chair. It's still a work in progress... and probably always will be!, Bedrooms Design

The Master Bedroom in progress!, It's been 7 months since my husband left for his 1 year deployment, and I decided to move things around! So I painted my Huge bedroom 23x16 feet all by myself. The accent wall its a Ice color ,and I made a stencil out of cardboard and painted the design. The room do not get any sun, so I decided on a beautiful cream color (polished pearl) the pictures do not show the real color. The curtains my mother made out of 12 yards of pure silk dupioni , while she was visiting, and also made all the chair and bench covers. I refinished all the chairs. Now one side of this giant it's ready for me to relax. Thank you for your nice coments!, Bedrooms Design

Smaller than average Master Bedroom, this is my master bedroom. it is a bit small, i dont have the exact measurements but I think that i could fit a queen bed and 2 night stands. I currently have a full size. Because of the layout of the room I cant put the bed in any other place. To the left of the bed is the double door closet and to the right is another window. The bedding I purchased on sale at Target. I dont remember where I got the curtains from. I try to find things on sale and then make them work with what I already have but this room I want it to feel warm and pretty since I spend the most time here. Need your advice on what color walls would look nice or what I should put on the walls. Open to all suggestions, Full size bed. Chocolate tufted headboard. 2 night stands. , Bedrooms Design

Blue Inspiration

My lastest obsession is with soft blue walls with white trim and accessories. Very beachy, very cottagey, very free feeling.

Condo Kitchen Inspiration


Now that the future is beginning to look more like citylife and less like farm life I guess it's time to start looking down the condo inspiration path. We will probably be moving to Vancouver in the next year or so. My rental right now is pretty boring, I will have to upload some pics because we need some sprucing up. It is all beige... beige walls... carpets... tiles.. and white trim. I mean it's not that bad but after 3 years it is boring!
Here are some of the things I know I want in my kitchen :
  • drawers for pots and pans
  • slamproof drawers and doors
  • extendable faucet or side sprayer
  • island with wood countertop
  • enough storage for small appliances
  • pull out pantry drawers
  • closet pantry
  • gas stove










THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITES!!!

I like this style with all the cabinets running on one wall with a long counter/island/bar open to the living room


I like this too but I don't know if I would want my blue washer and dryer in the kitchen. They are pretty quiet though.

I really like this, the island, the upper storage, the built in bench seat... perfect! But it has bad feng shui.
